Delhi University has announced the introduction of single girl child quota for admissions, starting from the academic sessions 2024-25.

Delhi University has introduced single girl child quota for admissions, starting from the academic sessions 2024-25. This significant step aims to offer more opportunities for single girl child.

DU admissions

A total of 71,000 seats are available across 69 colleges and departments through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) launched by Delhi University (DU) officials for undergraduate admissions this year.

DU has not made changes to its overall admission policy, but its single girl child quota is being seen as a notable initiative. The details regarding the admission process for single girl child are currently being finalized.

Registration

The admission process includes two stages: the first phase involves registration on the CSAS portal. Students who missed the registration deadline can still register by paying a fee of Rs 1000. However, late applicants are not eligible to claim seats that have already been allotted to other candidates who registered on time.

CUET UG

CSAS registration portal is now open for students and will remain open for one month. The second phase of admission will start after the declaration of the CUET UG results. Admission to both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at DU will be done on the basis of CUET scores.

The admission process for the School of Open Learning (SOL) and Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) will start from June 3.
