In a tweet, it said, “Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra has decided to provide funds for installation of 2 oxygen plants in Dashrath Medical College, Ayodhya in order to fulfill the requirement of Oxygen gas in the hospital”.

For this purpose, it has set aside Rs 55 lakh for one such plant.

Over 10 crore devout Hindus donated to the cause.

India ramps up Oxygen supply:

At a time when the country is facing a humongous shortage of oxygen, it has also taken steps to increase the production on a massive scale.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself held a meeting in this regard and ordered the officials to take necessary steps.

On the other hand, IAF and the railways have also pitched in to transport oxygen to different parts of the country.

Railways has created a green corridor to help the movement of trains. It has created a special train called Oxygen Express to ferry oxygen.

Ramps have been created to ensure its free passage.

On the other hand, the Indian Air Force deputed the big boys -- C-17 and IL-76 transport aircraft -- to airlift oxygen tankers to the filling stations across the country to speed up the distribution of oxygen cylinders.

Two C-17 aircraft ferried two empty Linde cryogenic oxygen containers while the IL 76 airlifted one empty Inox container to Panagarh.

Besides, media reports said that 23 mobile oxygen generation plants are being airlifted from Germany, which will be deployed in static hospitals.

The Base Hospital at the Delhi Cantonment is being converted into a 1000-bed dedicated Covid hospital.
