Three friends have started an online course that makes the students experts in automobiles
Bengaluru: It’s been a phenomenal success for three friends – Avinash, Jaskaran and Manocha.
They studied at a deemed university in Bhubhaneshwar, Orissa.
The three have started an online course based on Do It Yourself method. It is specifically designed for those who are in the automobile industry.
The startup also promotes the makers culture as well as upskilling the electric mobility workforce. Dainik Bhaskar states that currently the startup has a turnover of 60 lakh rupees.
The founders vouch that anyone who undertakes this course will have the technical information about automobiles. That is because, practical knowledge about automobiles is also given.
It all began when the three met and decided to do something different. That is when they hit the idea of starting a course of this kind. In 2017, they got their company registered under the name DIY Guru Education and Research Private Limited.
Avinash explains, “Our courses are certified by the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). These courses are very low cost. They range from Rs 5 thousand (basic course) to Rs 40 thousand (advanced course). This anyone can buy and earn by learning the nuances associated with electric cars. The modules in these courses offer a live interacting class”.
He adds more, “This course is designed at three levels, with the first level being for ITI or 10th passed people, who can easily understand about the electric car. At the same level, we train people with BTech, while there are different courses for professional level, in which many specifics of the vehicle can be explained”.
People from other countries are also being trained.
Avinash adds, “Not only in India but also people from countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal are learning from this course. We are working to make the people of India employable. We have given workshops in many cities, including many colleges. Our company has also trained in many private colleges from IITs to electric vehicles. Along with studying in this course, live test is also taken so that every student can understand everything easily. Looking at the market, we have kept a low fee for this course. Our aim is to make it available to every section of the society”.
