Chennai: Tamil Nadu cooperation minister Sellur Raju slammed MK Stalin, criticising him for making Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) a “family party” led by him.

He was referring to Azhagiri being sidelined by Stalin and said that except for his family members, everyone else was neglected in the DMK. He asked Kanimozhi to beware and play safe.

Minister Raju is the MLA from Madurai West constituency and represents the AIADMK.

Minister Raju also slammed Kamal Haasan and said that Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) chief Kamal Haasan is good to be projected as the chief minister only in movies and that he cannot achieve the post in real life. “People who are real custodians of democracy have not accepted him as their leader”, said Raju.

“Kamal Haasan does not enjoy popular support. The Lok Sabha results are a witness to it. People see him as an actor and he can become the chief minister only in movies”, he said. He also said that even Kamal Haasan does not understand his own speeches sometimes.

On earlier occasions, Raju had also criticised Rajinikanth and said that he can't make it big in politics.

Minister Raju, who became famous for his failed 'thermocol idea' to prevent evaporation of water from the Vaigai Dam two years ago, said recently that it was an engineer's concept and not his.

"I became infamous throughout the world due to this act of the engineer," Raju had said while campaigning for AIADMK candidate Raj Sathyan.
