The girl’s family panicked as she was nowhere to be found. Once they found out about her whereabouts, they reportedly decided to trick the couple by saying that they would have a grand wedding for them.
The girl, who believed her parents, managed to convince her husband who was sceptical initially. However, the families united at a temple where they took Prashant in a car separately.
They took him to a field in Samayapuram where his hands were tied and mouth gagged. They then slit his throat and left a bleeding Prashant out in the field.
His body was found much later and his family members are now demanding that strict action be taken against the perpetrators.
This is not the first time that such a case has come to the fore. In Telangana, a 23-year-old Dalit man was murdered right before his pregnant wife’s eyes.
