Here is the story of a woman who started her startup selling organic products

Bengaluru: Delhi-based Divya Rajput is a courageous woman. Though she has tremendous experience in the education sector, she decided to do something out of the box. That is when she thought of starting her own organic store online.

One of her own friends was diagnosed with cancer. That is when doctors advised her to go organic. And this suggestion was followed with religiosity as Divya started her store with the help of her friends.

It is been just three months since they started it. Now, they receive around 200 orders everyday and make a business of Rs 1 lakh a month.

She says, “Initially we used to sell our products by hosting exhibitions at different places, but it stopped during the lockdown. Then we focused on the online platform and launched a website. Now we are active on all social media platforms. People can order from there. Along with this, we have also launched a subscription campaign. Whenever we launch a new product, people have automatic notification,” as reported by Dainik Bhaskar.

Divya and her team put in a lot of hard work. Their network is also good in that they have contacts in the remotest parts of the country.

She adds, “Our team does a lot of research before making any product. When we are sure that this product is eco-friendly, then we start the process. We have a team of 20 to 25 women. Some products we make ourselves, some are sourced from outside. Our team has tie-ups with local artisans and farmers from several states including Assam, Himachal, Meghalaya. They prepare their product and send it to our company according to the order. Like we are sourcing turmeric powder from Meghalaya, because the turmeric there is much better and immune boosters for health. Similarly, we also get our products from states like Nagaland, Manipur, Rajasthan”.
