The Mumbai police has decided to probe allegations of drug consumption by Kangana Ranaut
Bengaluru: Fed by vendetta and the resolve to somehow fix Kangana Ranaut, the Mumbai police has decided to probe Kangana Ranaut for alleged consumption of drugs.
“As per request submitted by MLAs Sunil Prabhu & Pratap Sarnaik, I answered in Assembly & said that Kangana Ranaut had relations with Adhyayan Suman, who in an interview said she takes drugs & also forced him to. Mumbai Police will look into details of this,” Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said, as reported by a popular website.
Reports add that in an interview to DNA in 2016, Adhyayan Suman had said that his ex-girlfriend Kangana had forced him to take drugs.
The argy-bargies between the actress and these politicians began when the Mumbai police allegedly liked a post exhorting people to shame Kangana, among others, publicly.
It is then that she compared this attitude of Mumbai to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. When Sanjay Raut of the Shiva Sena took offence to this and asked Kangana not to visit Mumbai, she exclaimed that Mumbai had become Taliban from Pok in a matter of just one day.
As this unfolded, the home minister sabre-rattled that charges would be pressed against her for defaming Mumba. But an unfazed Kangana reiterated that she would be visiting Mumbai on September 9.
With so much of threat perception, the Centre has allowed Y-security for her.
There were reports that her office in Mumbai was raided by BMC officials. She had also put out a tweet in this regard. But owing to massive pressure, the officials stopped demolishing her office.
Kangana is slated to visit Mumbai on September 9.
However, one only wonders as to how chauvinism and jingoism can curtail the freedom of movement, as enshrined in the Constitution.
Meanwhile, Rhea Chakraborty has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau. Rhea is being questioned for her involvement in supply of drugs and even consumption of drugs.
