The Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust made a public call for pro bono design ideas
Bengaluru: The Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, on Wednesday, made a public call for pro bono design ideas that, it said, might be incorporated in a final masterplan for the construction of Ram temple, reports Times Now.
A notice that was given out by the trust said that the ideas should 'address the major elements of the project' like 'religious yatra, rituals, culture and science'.
The notice further said that those interested could find the details on the website of the trust. It also said that the Trust has the ultimate decision to accept or decline any ideas and/or to take them forward. The ideas, the trust said, would be used to develop the 70-acre land surrounding the Ram temple.
The trust has asked individuals, social experts, architects and designers to submit their designs and ideas about the Ram Mandir masterplan. The deadline for the same has been set as November 25, before which all ideas need to be submitted at a designated email ID.
An advertisement from the trust says, "These (designs) should be based on Vaastu or Sthapatya Veda, known as Indian Science of Architecture." According to news agency ANI, the trust has also sought ideas for the Gurukul that is expected to have residential facilities for students and 'acharyas'.
Further, the designs for Shri Ram digital library and museum have also been sought by the trust. It is expected that about one lakh devotees will visit the temple each day. The trust also plans to build a mini theatre and a gaushala within the premises and the designs for the same have also been sought from the public.
The 'bhoomi pujan' has taken place in Ayodhya on August 5 and Prime Minister had visited the site for the auspicious occasion - after which the trust had, on August 20, said that the construction of Ram mandir had finally begun.
