New Delhi: Separatist leader Yasin Malik has been sent to judicial custody till April 24 on Wednesday. Patiala House court passed the order. Malik appeared in the court via teleconferencing.
Malik, chief of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), was arrested in the crackdown after the Pulwama terror attack in which over 40 CRPF jawans had been killed in an IED blast. Malik is presently lodged in Tihar jail in Delhi. He was arrested eight days after the attack.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has questioned Malik. Malik’s JKLF was also banned in the aftermath of the attack.
Agencies, apart from investigating his role in hawala operations and funding terror in the Valley, are probing his role in the murder of RSS leader Chandrakant Sharma in Kishtwar. Malik is accused of helping fund and abet terror in Kashmir and targeting the minority Hindu Pandits in the Valley.
The separatist leader was shifted from the Jammu jail to Delhi earlier after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) secured a production warrant against him in connection with a terror and funding case.
Malik was sent to a high-security ward where he won't be allowed to meet people and will be kept under strict watch. He was apparently running his violent separatist agenda even from a Kashmir's jail, which is why he has been kept under such high security.
Recently, local RSS leader Chandrakant Sharma and his personal security officer were killed in an attack by two armed terrorists inside the Kishtwar hospital just 100 metres away from the police station.
