Security forces gun down 3 Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists in Shopian

According to reports, the encounter broke out after a joint team of army’s 44 RR, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon and search operations in Hendow village
 

Shopian: Security forces on Thursday killed three Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists during an encounter in Shopian district in south Kashmir. This is the third encounter of the day in Kashmir.

The slain militants have been identified as Yawer Mushtaq, Shakir Pall and Shakeel Ahmad Dar. 


However, a soldier also sustained bullet injuries during the operation.

The injured soldier was taken to a nearby army's health facility for treatment. Later he was shifted to army's 92 base hospital Badamibagh Srinagar

According to sources, a joint team army, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon and search at Handew village late today afternoon. The operation was launched after receiving specific input about terrorists hiding in the area. 

Three more terrorists were killed and a jawan was martyred in an encounter in Dalipora area of South Kashmir's Pulwama on Thursday.

A joint team of the army's Rashtriya Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir police Special Operations Group started a cordon and search operation after receiving information about terrorists hiding in Dalipora area near the police station in Pulwama.
