Youth Congress workers on Wednesday (November 20) staged a protest against the removal of Special Protection Group (SPG) cover to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi and party leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. But in reality, they were caught not knowing the actual reasons behind the protest

New Delhi: Ever come across a protest where thousands of people raise slogans against the government asking authorities to fulfil their demands? Recently, thousands of youth Congress workers gathered near Shastri Bhavan just next to the Parliament in Delhi expressing their displeasure against the Centre's decision of removing Special Protection Group (SPG) cover to the Gandhis.

A television journalist caught hold of an agitated protester, who was raising slogans against the Centre and questioned him about why they were protesting. Little did he know that they were just a group of youths who gathered to spend time with their friends under the garb of protesting individuals.

A video is now viral on social media where a TV journalist is seen questioning the agitated Congress workers at the site asking them the reason for the protest. The Congress workers were seen being clueless, just the way Rahul Gandhi was when asked about the implications of NYAY scheme in the recent past. Watch this video.

That is not all. In another video, a group of girls were seen raising slogans against the Centre and claiming PM Modi is "harassing the Gandhi family". As the journalist questioned them on why they were protesting, the girls did not even know what SPG stands for.

The SPG security cover given to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, her son Rahul Gandhi and daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was withdrawn last week by the Central government after a security review. Their security detail was replaced with "Z plus" security cover of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
