Injured Mohan boarded the Kallada Travels bus from Perumba near Payyanur in Kannur, Kerala, last Sunday. The incident occurred when the bus reached Mysuru early at 2:30 am. He was seated at the back of the bus. He was subjected to two surgeries and the doctors have advised him to take rest for three months.
Kannur: Complaints against Kallada Travels have been piling up of late, as one more passenger, who travelled in a bus belonging to the transport company, complained about rash driving. Due to the alleged careless driving of a bus driver, an elderly person's thigh bone was left broken.
Mohan, a native of Payyanur in Kannur, Kerala, sustained injuries and has undergone two surgeries. Doctors have instructed him to take three months bed rest.
Mohan's bone was left fractured after the bus allegedly went over a hump while travelling at a high speed. Mohan informed the bus authorities that he was hurt and needed medical help. However, the bus operators refused to listen to him. Mohan reached Bengaluru and was then taken to hospital by his son.

Kallada Travels has been grabbing headlines over controversial issues in recent times
On June 20, Kerala Police seized the controversial Kallada Travels’s bus and took its reserve driver into custody after he allegedly tried to molest a Tamil Nadu woman in the moving vehicle. The accused has been identified as Kerala’s Kottayam native Johnson Joseph. The woman was travelling from Kannur to Kollam, Kerala, in a Kallada Travels sleeper bus.
When the driver allegedly tried to molest the woman, she screamed and the passengers of the bus nabbed the driver and handed him over to police.
According to the woman's complaint, the driver tried to touch the woman inappropriately during the wee hours of Thursday (June 20) when the bus was about to reach Kozhikode.
On April 21, the staff of a Kallada Travels bus, which was ferrying passengers from Thiruvananthapuram to Bengaluru, thrashed two passengers and forced them out of the vehicle.
According to sources, a verbal dispute broke out between employees and the passengers after the bus broke down at Haripad, Alappuzha in Kerala. Later, an alternative bus carrying passengers reached Vyttila. Moments later, Kallada Travels employees were caught on video attacking passengers, who had questioned the staff.
