Even after a snub by NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Rahul Gandhi continues to play politics

Bengaluru: Former AICC chief Rahul Gandhi continues to play politics over the China issue. A day after India took the ultimate step of banning 59 China apps, sending China a strong message that India would not be a parasite, the Gandhi scion put out a tweet today (June 30) mocking India for its imports from China.

He put out a tweet saying “BJP says: Make in India. BJP does: Buy from China.”

Facts don’t lie.

BJP says:
Make in India.

BJP does:
Buy from China. pic.twitter.com/hSiDIOP3aU

This happens to be the latest sardonic message put out by Gandhi in the wake of the Galwan clashes.

It is to be noted that Rahul has only exhibited his ignorance while questioning the government in the immediacy of the clashes.

For example, he questioned the government as to why our soldiers had gone unarmed in the immediacy of Galwan clash. To this, EAM S Jaishankar had quoted the 1996 agreement in which Congress itself had been party to advocate ‘no firearms usage’ policy.

Later, he had even mocked Modi with the usage of the word ‘surrender’. He had called him ‘surender’ but ended up fooling himself for the typo.

Interestingly, senior politicians of the country like Sharad Pawar, NCP president, Milind Deora, senior Congressmen and Mayawati, BSP chief have disapproved of such behaviour.

Sharad Pawar’s NCP is also a coalition partner in Maharashtra government. But Sharad Pawar did not mince his words while reminding Rahul Gandhi of the 1962 blunder under the Congress. He also threw his weight behind the soldiers by saying the clashes only confirmed that they were alert.

Milind Deora also lamented that the national discourse surrounding the surge in Chinese transgressions has deteriorated into political mud-slinging. When we should be united in condemning China’s actions & seeking solutions, we are exposing our divisions, he had added.

Mayawati also openly said she was with the BJP on the issue of Galwan clashes and asked Congress not play politics.
