Priyanka was accused of sharing a photo of Priyanka Chopra from the MET Gala but with Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s face superimposed over it.

Following Priyanka’s arrest her mother had alleged that her daughter’s arrest was politically motivated and her lawyer Neeraj Kishan Kaul had said that she was being made to apologise only because she was a part of the BJP.

Priyanka Sharma may face action for contempt of court if she is unable to prove her case.
