On April 26 and 27, restaurants in Noida will provide dine-in guests with a 20% discount on their whole bill as part of the "democracy discount" advertisements.

To increase voter turnout in Gautam Budh Nagar for the 2024 Lok Sabha election, the Noida chapter of the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) is going to present special "democracy discounts" to every one of the guests who arrive at their partner restaurants sporting an inked finger on April 26.

On Tuesday, association officials stated that the reductions would only be accessible to district residents.

According to Varun Khera, head of the NRAI's Noida chapter, at least 50 dining establishments in Noida and Greater Noida have agreed to participate in the drive to improve voting percentages.

Further, he stated, They are urging their members to operate a special discount program for guests who have voted. They are going to be offering this offer on April 26 and 27 for customers who dine in with a 20% discount, and it will be for everyone who will vote and will have an inked finger.

He also mentions that the majority of restaurants in Noida will be providing this deal. Some commercial food chain locations may be unable to participate; however, the majority of eateries in Noida will provide this discount. The plan is to motivate everyone to vote. Furthermore, because it's a weekend, many might choose to go out with friends and family.

When asked about this project, district magistrate Manish Verma, who also serves as the district election officer, stated that all attempts by citizen groups to encourage people to vote are welcomed.

Mr. Varun also confirmed that, after Noida, restaurants in Delhi will give the same discount on May 25. They have finalized this for Delhi as well, but because the election is in May, they will be announcing it next month. This is not finalized for Gurgaon yet.
