National agricultural fair ‘Krishi Unnati Mela’ begins today

Live crop demonstrations, protected cultivation of vegetable and flowers, display of cut-flowers, exotic vegetables and fruits, sales of seeds of high yielding varieties and interface of farmers with agricultural industries are some of the attractions of  Krishi Unnati Mela 2019

New Delhi: National Agricultural Fair “Krishi Unnati Mela 2019” will be organised from March 5 till March 7, at IARI, PUSA New Delhi, by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) Institutes, state agricultural universities, development agencies and leading companies from public and private sectors will display their products, technologies and services at the mela.

The fair is expected to attract thousands of farmers, farm-women, extension workers, scientists and students from different parts of the country.

Live crop demonstrations, protected cultivation of vegetable and flowers, display of cut-flowers, exotic vegetables and fruits, sale of seeds of high yielding varieties and interface of the farmers with agro-industries are some of the attractions of the mela.

The participation in the mela and showcasing technologies, services and achievements of various organizations/firms/companies will benefit the farming community.

The carnival offers a unique opportunity to organisations for the promotion and sale of viable technologies, services and products.

The Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is the Project Management Partner for the fair.
