BJP national president JP Nadda has assured the nation that it will get 60,000 more ventilators to be procured with the help of PM CARES Fund
Bengaluru: While there has been a lot of debate and discussion over how the PM CARES Fund is being used, none other than JP Nadda, the BJP national President, has come out in the open and said that as many as 60,000 ventilators will be supplied to hospitals using these funds.

The ventilators will be available by June end.
Presently, the country has only 21,000 operational ventilators.

"We had not any dedicated COVID hospitals when the lockdown was announced. Today, we have 1,000 dedicated COVID hospitals and 2 lakh COVID dedicated beds. We have 21,000 ventilators and 60,000 ventilators will be available, through PM-CARES fund by June end," Nadda said.
Nadda also added that the nation was now producing more than 4.5 lakh PPE kits every day compared to nil before the first national lockdown was announced.
