Talking to media, young Uday Jakhar said, “My father told me himself a few months ago that he had paid Arvind Kejriwal Rs 6 crore for the Lok Sabha ticket. Question is how could Kejriwal, who was born of the anti-corruption movement of Anna Hazare, be so corrupt himself?"

New Delhi: The son of AAP leader and Lok Sabha candidate from West Delhi Balbir Singh Jakhar made sensational claims about his father and damaging allegations against AAP chief and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday, just a day before Delhi goes to polls.

Jakhar’s son alleged that his father had paid Kejriwal Rs 6 crore to “buy” the Lok Sabha ticket from the AAP. Dropping the cash-for-ticket bomb, the son also alleged that his father was paid a lot of money from 1984 anti-Sikh riot convict and Congress leader Sajjan Kumar to ensure a ticket out of jail.

Talking to media, young Uday Jakhar said, “My father told me himself a few months ago that he had paid Arvind Kejriwal Rs 6 crore for the Lok Sabha ticket. Question is how could Kejriwal, who was born of the anti-corruption movement of Anna Hazare, be so corrupt himself?”

Uday said that he could not believe that his “own blood” had joined the ‘tukde-tukde’ gang. “My father is aligned with the tukde-tukde gang, and I am astounded by it. I had to clear my conscience. Therefore, I had to come out in front of the media,” Uday said.

MyNation tried to reach his father and AAP candidate Balbir Jakhar, but his assistant said he was busy meeting people and would call back with his version on the allegations. The story will be updated as and when he responds.

“Arvind Kejriwal represents the falling standards of Indian politics. While the ‘tukde-tukde’ gang is getting powerful by the day, they are portraying that they are weak and they are the victims. I cannot witness all this as a bystander, and so I chose to come out in the open,” he added.
