Bengaluru: Defence minister Rajnath Singh attended the Victory Day Parade at Red Square in Moscow, Russia, on the 75th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany.
The minister took to Twitter to express his happiness.
He said, “Attending the Victory Day Parade at Red Square in Moscow today to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Victory of the Soviet People in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.”

It is to be noted that the event was scheduled to take place on May 9 but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Impressive turnout of the Tri-Service contingent of the Indian Armed Forces at the Victory Day Parade in Moscow is indeed an extremely proud and happy moment for me,” defence minister further added.
Rajnath Singh also said, “I can say with confidence that the traditional friendship between India & Russia remain strong. Our mutual interests are solid and we look to future cooperation in the spirit of our special friendship.”
Rajnath Singh also met Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov a day earlier.
