Martyr Rakesh Dobhal's 10-year-old daughter vows to join army
Bengaluru: A 10-year-old daughter stood next to the mortal remains of her father who had was martyred in cross border shelling by Pakistan in Jammu & Kashmir’s Baramulla.
Even as Border Security Force sub-inspector Rakesh Dobhal's family grieved, his daughter Dwitya stood amidst the security personnel. Her words moved those present.
"When I grow up, I will join the army and serve the nation. My father sacrificed his life for the country; I too, would follow in his footsteps and serve the nation with whatever I could. That would be my biggest tribute to him," she said before raising slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai and Jai Hind.
