WB CM Mamata Banerjee has said until she is alive, she will not allow the CAA to be implemented. If the plight of Hindus doesn’t move her, what else will?
Bengaluru: Two chief ministers - Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal and Pinarayi Vijayan of Kerala have vowed not to implement the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) passed by the two houses of the Indian Parliament and assented by the President Ram Nath Kovind.
Mamata Banerjee said, “As long as I live CAA will not be implemented in Bengal. No one has to leave the country or the state.
Politics aside, the plight of the religiously persecuted Hindus in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will bring tears to any human being who is compassionate.
A few Hindu refugees, who luckily and thankfully escaped to India, and got rid of the demonic clutches of Islamic fundamentalists and fanatics in Pakistan have narrated their pathetic and heartrending tales in the neighbouring country.
From extortion in grocery stores to forcefully converting Hindu girls, sexually assaulting them, the litany of subjugations, harassment, humiliation and hurt is unending!
Dharamveer Singh, one of the Hindus in Pakistan who managed to flee to India, unable to face persecution says that their own land had been usurped 30 years ago and they were disenfranchised during Musharraf’s tenure as the President.
Another Hindu Sonadas, who managed to come to his motherland India on a pilgrimage visa in 2012 vows not to go back, because he has been subjected to the extremities of persecution. Presently, he stays in Delhi and runs errands and is happy that he will not be religiously persecuted in India.
The CAA is surely not a tool of vindictiveness and isolation. It only facilitates the poor Hindus, who have only India to call as their motherland, to reintegrate, both socially and emotionally.
Sadly, politicians who are opposing this integration and rehabilitation of Hindus by openly opposing the CAA have not heart that bleeds for Hindus!
If the worst kind of persecution doesn’t move them, what else will?
