Ajit Doval is Modi's most trusted man when it comes to security issues. There was a rumour that he may not continue in the second term of the BJP government but, Modi's government has cleared the air by appointing Doval till 2024.

There has been a massive success for external as well as internal security with Doval at the helm. Terror outfits are running out of fresh recruits and old leaders have been wiped off. Also under Doval's leadership, security and intelligence agencies have stopped terror outfits from attacking metropolitan cities in the last five years.

The government and Prime Minister office will also have some more changes, including cabinet secretary and home secretary. It is likely that the current home secretary Rajiv Gauba will be the new cabinet secretary.

List of five officers for home secretary has already been given and the decision is expected soon.
