Maharashtra chemical factory explosion: 13 killed, 43 injured

An explosion on chemical factory at Dhule in Maharashtra has claimed 13 lives and left 43 injured. 

Dhule: A chemical factory explosion has resulted in the death of at least 13 people and injury of 43 people at Dhule in Maharashtra, today. 

At least 100 workers were inside the building when the explosion occurred. The factory is located at Waghadi in Shirpur taluk in Dhule.  The explosion happened around 9:45 am, reported PTI.

Police department has deployed teams including staff from disaster management department and  fire extinguishers are conducting rescue operations.

Anguished to learn about the loss of lives due to explosion at a chemical factory in Dhule, Maharashtra. Have spoken to CM , state govt is doing everything possible to assist the people in need. My condolences with the bereaved families. May injured recover soon.
