Senior Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi has expressed his support to deport British Labour Party Member of Parliament, Debbie Abrahams.
Bengaluru: In what comes as a fillip to the move to deport British Labour Party Member of Parliament, Debbie Abrahams, none other than senior Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi has expressed his support for the same.
In a tweet put out by him, he says, “The deportation of Debbie Abrahams by India was indeed necessary, as she is not just an MP, but a Pak proxy known for her clasp with e Pak govt and ISI. Every attempt that tries to attack India's sovereignty must be thwarted.”

This tweet by Abhishek comes as a stark contrast to what another senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor had said about the issue.
In his tweet, he had said, “If things are fine in #Kashmir, shouldn't the Govt encourage critics to witness the situation themselves to put their fears to rest? Instead of conducting tours for pliant MEPs &polite Ambassadors alone, surely the head of a ParliamentaryGroup on the subject is worth cultivating?”

Everything boils down to the move to abrogate articles 370 and 35A. T-he Modi-led NDA government at the Centre took the historic decision of rescinding the articles with a view to paving way for integrating Jammu and Kashmir with the rest of India.
What comes as more interesting is another Congress leader from Madhya Pradesh, Jyotiraditya Scindia, who had expressed his support to the Modi government for his bold move to abrogate the articles under question.
While this move is worth a praise, the British MP had expressed her concerns over it.
She had claimed that the move would result in increased tensions in the area and the precautionary troop movements were in violation of international humanitarian law.
What’s also interesting to note is that, last month, 16 envoys, on a visit to Jammu and Kashmir, met the locals there and got first-hand information on the ground realities after the Narendra Modi-led government abrogated articles 370 and 35A.
Modi, indeed got a shot in the arm for this move of abrogation.
