As per early trends, BJP sweeping the polls in Delhi is only going to increase worry for Congress as it is trailing on the third spot and the the Aam Aadmi Party is ahead of it.
New Delhi: The initial tends of Lok Sabha results counting shows the incumbent BJP is making a clean sweep in Delhi which has a lead on all the seven parliamentary seats. BJP during the 2014 Lok Sabha also registered a thumping victory in the national capital.
This is only going to increase worry for Congress as it is trailing on the third spot as the Aam Aadmi Party is ahead of it. As per the early trends
Sitting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma is leading against his AAP rival Balbir Singh Jakhar by 3,319 votes in the West Delhi Lok Sabha seat. Another sitting MP Ramesh Bidhuri was leading against his AAP rival Raghav Chadha by 11,600 votes in the South Delhi Lok Sabha seat.
In North West Delhi, Sufi singer Hans Raj Hans was ahead of AAP's Gagan Singh by 11,070 votes, they said.
BJP's incumbent MP Meenakshi Lekhi is also leading from the New Delhi seat. She is fighting against former Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken, who is currently trailing.
BJP's South Delhi candidate Ramesh Bhiduri is also leading against AAP's Raghav Chadha and Congress' Vijender Singh. BJP candidate Gautam Gambhir has an edge against AAP's Atishi and Congress' Arvinder Singh Lovely.
As per the initial trends, BJP's Harsh Vardhan is leading from Chandni Chowk, while Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari is leading from North-East Delhi, where former CM and Delhi Congress president Sheila Dikshit is trailing.
Delhi voted on May 12 during the sixth phase of Lok Sabha election.
