Kolar: Congress leader KH Muniyappa has reportedly acquired 410 acres of land in Karnataka. The Kolar Congress MP Muniyappa acquired the 410 acres of land through Benami methods.
Muniyappa, has been elected 7 times as MP from Kolar, a reserved constituency, and had only 4 acres of land to his name recently. But Muniyappa now finds himself with land holdings that has multiplied by 100.
In the year 2005, he had already acquired 83 acres of land in Goramilahalli village of Siddlaghatta Taluk in Chikkaballapur. The land was registered under his wife’s and brothers’ names.
KH Muniyappa had not furnished property documents before the Lok Sabha polls.
Muniyappa, who did not announce that he held property before the Lok Sabha polls, registered the land in his wife's name in the affidavit.
