Bengaluru: The two-day resignation-filled drama in Karnataka is all set to gain much attention as talks between chief minister HD Kumaraswamy and disgruntled senior Congress MLA Ramalinga Reddy is said to have yielded results.

According to Tanveer Ahmed, national spokesperson of the JD(S), "By winning the confidence of Congressman Ramalinga Reddy, we can expect MLA Sowmya Reddy, Byrathi Basavaraj, ST Somashekhar and Muniratna Naidu to come back anytime. The government is safe as all the steps have been taken."

Reddy's close confidante and two-time corporator Rizwan  Nawab said the party has ignored senior leader like Reddy.

"He is an undisputed leader from Bengaluru and a visionary for the city. He was instrumental in capturing power in the BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike). The coalition government can negate the damage only by making him a minister of Cabinet rank. The Bengaluru administration is suffering and a person like Reddy at the helm of affairs can change things," said Nawab.

As both the JD(S) and Congress have jumped into action to save the government, all the ministers from the Congress were made to resign and the JD(S) is following the trend. Going a step further, the JD(S) began to shift its 35 MLAs to a resort in Coorg, about 280 kms from Bengaluru.
