Led by senior BJP leader Jagadish Shettar, a BJP delegation left for New Delhi last night (July 24) and is camping there to meet national president Amit Shan and working president JP Nadda to apprise them of the prospect of forming a government in Karnataka.

New Delhi: After waiting for an entire day on July 24, the Karnataka state BJP unit didn’t get any call from its high command in Delhi in relation to the prospect of forming government in Karnataka, after the coalition fell.

So a delegation led by senior BJP leader Jagadish Shettar, MLAs Madhuswamy, Aravind Limbavali are camping in Delhi to meet BJP national president Amit Shan and its working president JP Nadda.

The leaders are expected to apprise the top brass of the developments in the state. But the high command, it is learnt, is in no mood to hurry on the issue, as it fears the party doesn’t have a thumping majority.

BJP leader Jagadish Shettar said, "The first meeting with Amit Shah got over. We had detailed discussion. We are meeting him again at 3 pm along with nadda and others. Hopefully there will be some clarity by end of the day."
