According to the intelligence agency, terrorists from Taliban Haqqani network and JeM were receiving training at the Balakot's terror camps, which was destroyed in the Indian airstrike on February 26

New Delhi: Pakistan-backed terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed's (JeM) chief Masood Azhar had a meeting with Taliban's Haqqani Network, which was mediated by ISI, just one month ahead of the Pulwama massacre, reports quote intelligence agency as saying.

If these reports are to be believed, the sources said that both the parties met to plan a suicide attack in India. Moreover, terrorists from Taliban Haqqani and JeM were receiving training at the Balakot's terror camps, which was destroyed in the Indian airstrike on February 26.

On February 14, a JeM suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden SUV into a CRPF convoy of 78 vehicles, killing over 40 jawans.

The soldiers, most of them, were returning to duty after spending their holidays in their respective destinations.

The Pulwama attack is being considered the worst terror attack since the Uri attack in 2016.

Following the terror attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a strong message to Pakistan.

“I want to tell the terror outfits and those aiding and abetting them that they have made a big mistake. They will have to pay a very heavy price for their actions. Let me assure the nation that those behind this attack, the perpetrators of this attack will be punished,” he added.
