Indian Police Service (IPS) officer recently made a post on X sharing the story of his 'UPSC prep flatmate' who failed to crack the UPSC exam at multiple attempts. However, the flatmate landed a great job with a lucrative package.
Thousands of students appear for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam every year. They work persistently with the dream of achieving excellence, but not all candidates clear the exam.
It is a tough exam with a high level of difficulty and many individuals fail to crack the exam even after years of hard work and several attempts.
One such experience was shared by an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Archit Chandak, who made a post on X (formerly Twitter) about reuniting with his flatmate and shared his UPSC story.
He wrote, "Met Harsh yesterday. My UPSC prep flatmate & a close friend. Super hardworking & dedicated - left his job, gave 4 attempts, 3 interviews. But unfortunately couldn't make the cut. Now happily working in Trident at a great role with a handsome package. No success is final, no failure is fatal- it is the courage to keep going in life which matters the most!"

In the picture shared by Chandak, the two friends can be seen posing together and smiling. Several individuals commented on the post, expressing their thoughts.
One user wrote, "What matters the most is working hard so that you don’t regret that I didn’t try. Great motivation to atleast try," emphasising the importance of hard work and trying.
"Upsc is not the end of the world. There's much better life beyond upsc as well," another user wrote, highlighting other opportunities beyond UPSC.
