Indians proud of Abhinandan Varthaman: PM Modi in Tamil Nadu

Narendra Modi reached Tamil Nadu to launch rail and road projects in Kanyakumari. He also flagged off the fastest train, Tejas between Madurai and Chennai. As Abhinandan returns, PM Modi sent out a strong message speaking about his uncompromising stand on terror.
 


Kanyakumari: Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time spoke about Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman while addressing a BJP rally in Tamil Nadu. Modi was in Tamil Nadu's Kanyakumari to launch certain projects. 

While addressing the function in Kanyakumari, he said every Indian is proud that brave Abhinandan Varthaman is from Tamil Nadu. Abhinandan Varthaman, was under Pakistan's custody after the neighbouring country's F-16 was shot down by the Indian Air Force.

Modi reached Tamil Nadu to launch certain projects, which will play a vital role in enhancing rail and road connectivity throughout Tamil Nadu. He also flagged off the fastest train, Tejas, between Madurai and Chennai. Tejas is one of the modern trains and an example of the 'Make in India'.

The Tejas Express will benefit a number of day time passengers in the section. This will be the second Tejas Express service, first being the one introduced between Mumbai to Karmali.

Meanwhile, he also spoke about terrorism, and he said that a big change has arrived in the context of terrorism. He quoted the examples of how our soldiers fought in Uri and how they jumped into action after Pulwama attack. Modi also said he is proud of the Army, while elaborating on his uncompromising stand on terror.
