Indian Air Force is successfully carrying out night sorties over Eastern Ladakh

Bengaluru: While the border tension with China goes on, the Indian Air Force is successfully carrying out night sorties over Eastern Ladakh.

The metal birds in action are MiG-29, Sukhoi-30MKI along with and Apache attack helicopters and the Chinook heavy-lift helicopters.

As quoted by ANI, senior fighter pilot Group Captain A Rathi deployed at the forward base said, "Night operations have an inherent element of surprise. Indian Air Force is fully trained and ready to undertake an entire spectrum of operations in any environment with the help of modern platforms and highly motivated personnel."

"The motivation level of troops at the airbase is very high. The morale is very high like our motto Nabha Sparsham Deeptam (Touch the Sky with Glory)," ANI further quoted Warrant Officer P Sharma as saying.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Ladakh last week, where he addressed our soldiers and sent China a strong message. He also met soldiers recuperating in the hospital and assured them that the entire nation was proud of their effort.

A note on the incident:

It all began when Indian soldiers dismantled a Chinese tent at Patrol Point 14, which is close to the mouth of the Galwan river. It was reported that the tent had been dismantled following a meeting between Lieutenant General Harinder Singh, who commands the Leh-based XIV Corps, and Major-General Lin Liu, the head of the Xinjiang military district

But just within two days, it should be noted that the PLA set up a fresh tent at Patrol Point 14. This was in clear violation of the agreement.

So, the tent was burned down. Col Santosh Babu also laid down his life. His father, proud of his son’s martyrdom added that it is a privilege to die for the country.

India has always maintained that all its activities are well within its borders:

"Given its responsible approach to border management, India is very clear that all its activities are always within the Indian side of the LAC. We expect the same of the Chinese side," MEA Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava had said.
