Newly crowned chief minister of Uttarakhand Tirath Singh Rawat has revealed that he has been inspired by Vajpayee

Bengaluru: Former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihar Vajpayee is a revered figure, for his gentlemanly nature, befriending nature and taking everyone along. He was also known to lead a frugal lifestyle, inspiring and influencing several people.

Newly crowned chief minister of Uttarakhand's Tirath Singh Rawat too is one who has come under the spell of the former Prime Minister.

"I have worked as an activist with Atalji. He used to sit on the floor to eat food and travel in third class on train, all these things inspired me. I also owe my success to the Sangh (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh or RSS) and my family," he said, as reported by India Today.
"I have been trained by RSS to work in unison with the party," he said.

"I will carry forward all the projects and work done by former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat in the state. I will also ensure the completion of the Char Dham Road Project and Rishikesh Rail Project initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We will all work in unison," he added.

"I had never imagined I will be chosen as the CM. I would like to thank the Centre for this decision. I am just a BJP worker from a small village. I will try my best to live up to the public's trust,” he noted more.
