Haryana: Two stray dogs save baby girl dumped in drain; baby now critical

Two stray dogs pulled out a baby, wrapped in a polythene cover, out of a drain, at Kaithal in Haryana. The baby is fighting for life.
 

Haryana: Stray dogs pulled an abandoned newborn out from a drain at Kaithal in Haryana. The baby was wrapped in a polythene bag and was thrown in the drain. Noticing this, the passers-by informed the police who admitted the baby to a hospital, where it is fighting for life.

"A woman was captured on camera throwing a baby girl wrapped in a plastic bag into a drain in Kaithal. The baby was pulled out from the drain by two dogs. Case registered," tweeted ANI.

Principal Medical Officer, Kaithal told ANI, "Baby is alive but her condition is serious. Efforts are on to save her."

Reports claim that the baby has sustained injuries on her head.

The cops have recovered the CCTV footage. When checked the footage showed that an infant was being thrown into the drain in Dogran Gate area on Friday (July 19).

Reports state that the baby which was found by the police at 6 am on Saturday (July 20) was immediately rushed to the Civil Hospital. The baby weighed 1.15 kg.

The cops are curently checking the footage carefully to nab the culprits who threw the baby into the drain.

"We will take strict action against the person who has thrown this girl in the drain," said Pradeep Kumar, a police official handling the case speaking to ANI.
