In Bengaluru, a groom defies tradition by coming at his wedding on an Ather electric bike, earning praise for his environmentally conscious approach and demonstrating the city's acceptance of sustainability in celebrations.

In the vibrant city of Bengaluru, where weddings are celebrated with grandeur and flair, a recent ceremony took a modern twist on tradition. Instead of the customary horse-drawn carriage or luxury car, the groom opted for a sleek and eco-friendly mode of transport: an Ather electric bike.

The groom's decision to ride an Ather Rizta to his wedding created quite a buzz, both offline and online. As the groom and his wedding party made their entrance, dancing alongside the electric vehicle, onlookers were captivated by the unconventional sight.

Behind this innovative choice was Darshan Patel, an industrial designer employed by Ather Energy, the company behind the electric bike. His desire to make a statement with his grand entrance was met with enthusiastic support from the company's co-founder and CEO, Tarun Mehta.

Mehta took to social media to tell the story of the remarkable entry, expressing delight in fulfilling the groom's ambition to ride the Ather Rizta to his wedding. The photographs and videos from the occasion instantly went viral, with many people admiring the groom's inventiveness and the company's commitment to sustainability.

This is not the first time Bengaluru has seen a break from traditional wedding conventions. Another groom made news in January when he arrived at his wedding location with his 'baraat' on Yulu bikes, demonstrating the city's willingness to embrace innovative and environmentally friendly practices.

The trend reflects a larger shift towards sustainability and environmental consciousness in Bengaluru, a city known for its bustling streets and tech-savvy population. As traffic congestion becomes an increasing concern, more couples are considering alternative modes of transport for their wedding celebrations.

In a city where weddings are a spectacle of colors, music, and festivities, the groom's choice to ride an electric bike symbolizes a new chapter in Bengaluru's wedding traditions. It's a testament to the city's progressive spirit and its willingness to embrace change in the pursuit of a greener future.
