Goa Tourism has introduced Raj Bhavan tours at Dona Paula which gives tourists a view of the scenic beauty and glimpses of the history and heritage of Goa.
Goa: Raj Bhavan is a fort that not only has a panoramic view of the Mandovi river, Zuari river and the Arabian Sea but also of the river bay, Fort Aguada.
Goa Tourism Developmental Corporation conducts a tour that provides tourists with spellbinding views of the landscaped vistas around the Raj Bhavan, located at Dona Paula.
These tours are available thrice a week and give tourists glimpses of the heritage of Goa and also a number of initiatives introduced at the Raj Bhavan in solar energy, water harvesting and waste management.
Bookings for the tour are only done online. Visitors should register at least 3 days prior to the date of the visit. The entry fee costs only Rs 300/- per person and should be done on the portal. After booking, the visitor will receive a confirmation of the booking either through e-mail or SMS. The registration will be verified by the police.
The tours are conducted in two batches and are available for general public on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Each batch has 50 members. The tour for the first batch begins at 2:30 pm and ends at 4:00 pm and the tour for the second batch begins at 4:00 pm and ends at 5:30 pm.
