Global Student Prize 2024: Three Indian students reach the top 50 finalists

Chegg.org Global Student Prize 2024 aims to recognize outstanding students who have made significant contributions to education and society. Among thousands of applicants, three Indian students have successfully made it to the list of top 50 finalists.

Three Indian students have been selected for the Chegg.org Global Student Prize 2024, making it to the top 50 candidates. This annual award recognizes outstanding students who have made significant contributions to education and society.

Global Student Prize

The Global Student Prize includes a $100,000 award. Indian students who are among top 50 finalists for this prize are Prajwal Naveen Halalae, a 17-year-old from BGS National Public School, Divaa Uthkarsha, a 16-year-old from National Public School RNR in Bengaluru, and Kavin Sharma, a 17-year-old from Jayshree Periwal International School in Jaipur.

Global competition

Over 11,000 applications were received for the Global Student Prize from students across 176 countries. Heather Hatlo Porter, Chief Communications Officer of Chegg, shared details about the top 50 selected students. She stated that these students have made significant contributions in areas such as the environment, equality, and youth empowerment.

Their positive impacts span various fields including justice, health, education, skills development, and poverty alleviation. The list of the top 10 winners for the Global Student Prize 2024 is expected to be announced in September.

The awardees will have the chance to connect with students from various countries and may also meet experts from the education sector and beyond.
