Prime Minister Modi has been in the vanguard of taking phenomenal and tough decisions so that the entire country is benefitted at large.
Measures taken by PM to contain coronavirus:
It was he who urged the citizens to observe what’s called Janata curfew and further urged them to ring bells as a gesture to show solidarity to our soldiers with stethoscopes.
The Janata curfew was just a precursor. A few days after this, he imposed a lockdown in the entire country as it was the only way available to contain the spread of the virus.
As the lockdown came to an end, he held a meeting with CMs, took their views and extended the lockdown. The extension will be in place till May 3.
Under his leadership, the government has also decided to ban travel, ban running of educational institutes. That is the reason mass transport like trains, buses and planes have not been functioning.
The lockdown is a tough phase. The toughest consequence has been on the economy.
Keeping this in mind, his government announced a financial package worth Rs 1.7 lakh crore.
His government also approved a medical package running into Rs 15,000 crore to help states tackle the virus.
After the second extension ends, the government will have more challenges at hand. That is because if the rules are relaxed, people will rush to the streets, leading to crowding up.
Once crowding happens, social distancing will be compromised with, leading to easier spread of the virus.
