Fire breaks out at chemical godown near Kolkata's Howrah bridge

West Bengal fire and emergency services minister Sujit Bose and director-general of the fire station is present at that spot

Kolkata: Around 20 firefighters were rushed to the spot after a massive fire broke out in a godown in Jagannath ghat near the Howrah bridge.

The fire broke out around 2 AM, but there are no reports of injuries or casualties that have proceeded so far.

The fire was controlled at 8:30 AM. Reason of the fire and extent of the damages were yet to be ascertained, the firemen said.
