Delhi: Fire breaks out at AIIMS; 6 fire tenders rush to spot

A fire broke out at AIIMS in New Delhi and six fire tenders have been rushed to the spot
 


New Delhi: A fire broke out at the emergency department at the All India Institute of Medical Sciencs (AIIMS) in New Delhi on Saturday (August 17) and six fire tenders have been rushed to the spot. The fire took place on the second floor. 

The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained. 

Fifty patients have been escorted out and the efforts to douse the fire are underway. 

AIIMS is where former Union minister Arun Jaitley is admitted following complaints of breathlessness on August 9.

President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi were among the many ministers who had visited him on Friday.
