Fatal bus fire: 10 dead after bus caught fire in Ghaziabad

A horrifying incident resulted in the death of 10 people after a bus caught fire in Ghaziabad, UP after colliding with an 11,000-volt wire. Many were rescued and hospitalised in the nearby hospital. 

A horrifying incident took place when a bus caught fire in Ghaziabad, UP after coming in contact with an 11,000-volt electricity wire resulting in 10 people dead. The bus had around 30 people in it during the fire. Due to the flow of electricity, the passengers could not jump out of the bus or escape anywhere. This shocking incident was recorded by many bystanders on the road.

It was a private bus filled with wedding guests going to attend the ceremony in Mau and the incident took place near the Mardah police station. It all happened when the bus was on the road and the high-voltage wire fell on it causing it to break into fire. Many videos are being shared online of the incident. Locals and the police rescued the people on the bus and many are getting treatment in the nearby hospital. The investigation is taking place to understand the collision. 

This is not the first time, a year ago a private school bus also caught fire in Ghaziabad due to a leak in the CNG kit. Two fire tenders were sent to control the fire. 5 children and 2 adults got minor injuries, the incident shook everyone and the government made a provision to form a safety committee to perform timely check-ups and reviews of school vehicles.
