Bengaluru: Nepal can’t help but be in awe of India’s generosity during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

India handed over 30,000 PCR test-kits to Nepal as a mark of goodwill gesture.

Nepal’s foreign minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali lauded India’s gesture.

On his Twitter account, he said, “Sincere thanks to the Government of India for providing medical logistics and testing kits for 30,000 tests which were handed over to the Ministry of Health and Population today as a part of ongoing cooperation to fight the pandemic.”

Indian envoy to Nepal Vinay Mohan Kwatra on Sunday handed over Pathodetect COVID-19 Qualitative RT PCR Test Kits to Minister for Health and Population Bhanubhakta Dhakal, on behalf of the Indian government, reports Economic Times.

“The consignment, as a gift from the people of India to people of Nepal, will enable Nepali Health Professionals to conduct PCR test on 30,000 people”, the Indian embassy said in a statement.

“In the current state of the pandemic in Nepal, gifting of medicines and test kits manifests continuing cooperation of leaders and people of two countries to prepare, act and fight together the global crisis”, the statement further added.

Under PM Modi, India has walked the extra mile just to ensure that other countries get whatever help they can get during these testing times.

Last month, India also handed over 4 tonnes of medical aid to Seychelles.

Apart from this, India has exported HCQ tablets to the United States, for which Trump thanked PM Modi profusely and added he would remember this gesture for a long time.

Sri Lanka president too was effusive in his praise of PM Modi as India supplied medicines to the island nation.
In the same way, even the Brazilian President did not hold himself back from praising the PM and India for the generous contribution.
