Deepti from New Delhi is a successful digital hoarding businesswoman

Bengaluru: Failures can make people miserable. Yet on the other end of the continuum, failures can also be the steppingstone to success.

Meet Deepti Awasthi Sharma. She is a living definition of this thought.

After her graduation, Deepti started her CA classes. But owing to lack of interest, she didn’t wish to pursue it.

She took up event management. She was so successful in it that she even got one of the biggest events to be hosted in Delhi in 2014.
But unfortunately, she didn’t get enough support from her sponsors. Tickets were not sold. She had to incur a loss of Rs 40 lakh. And in order to make up for the losses, she had to sell her house.

Such was her state of mind that she fell into depression. She had even locked herself up in the room. But fortunately, her parents stood by her like a rock.

At the same time, she got married to Vikas Sharma. And that was the best thing to happen to her. He helped her set up digital hoardings business and readied the investment for it.

As she started, she got a lot of help from Vikas Sharma who was working with tech company. So he took care of all the technical help.
Combining perseverance and hard work, they tasted success. In a matter of two years, they achieved a turnover of Rs 2 crore.

Today, you might be surprised to know that she employs more than 30 people in her company.

Her customers don’t find it difficult to place order for the hoarding anymore.

It all happens at the click of a button.

The will to do different things can really make one do wonders. But one should be brave enough to take risks and be assiduous enough to weather the storm.
