Vexed with the demolition of Kangana Ranaut’s office, priests of Ayodhya say Uddhav Thackeray is not welcome to Ayodhya
Bengaluru: The demolition of Kangana Ranaut’s office building for its violations by the BMC, with full knowledge of it by Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, as she took him on, on various issues, has also demolished his reputation.
Now, as reports adds, Hindu monks in Ayodhya are vexed and declared him persona non grata.
Mahant Raju Das, priest of the Hanuman Garhi temple, said, "Uddhav Thackeray and Shiv Sena are no more welcome in Ayodhya. Now, the Maharashtra Chief Minister will face stiff opposition from seers of Ayodhya if he comes here," a popular website added.
"The Maharashtra government acted without wasting any time against the actress. But the same government is yet to take action against the killers of two seers in Palghar," he added.
Sharad Sharma, regional spokesperson of VHP, said, "It is very clear that the Shiv Sena is deliberately targeting the actress because she is supporting nationalist forces and has raised her voice against drug mafia of Mumbai."
"Now, Uddhav Thackeray is no more welcome in Ayodhya. Why is the Shiv Sena is attacking Ranaut? Everyone can understand. It is not a mystery. The Shiv Sena is not the same what it used to be under Balasaheb Thackeray," said Mahant Kanhaiya Das, head of the Ayodhya Sant Samaj.
The Uddhav Thackeray government has been a living commentary on vindictiveness and vengeance as it has unleashed brute force to target dissenters. It has not just targeted Kangana’s office, but it has also arrested journalists of Republic TV for its investigative endeavour.
In fact, its own ally, NCP’s chief Sharad Pawar has expressed his unhappiness over the issue. He feels the demolition has only given more prominence to Kangana Ranaut while hurting the reputation of the government.
The Bombay high court, which is presently hearing the case, has issued a stay order on any further demolition, but while doing the same, condemned the demolition, as one with mala fide inention.
