Bengaluru: Imagine robots fighting fire!
It is indeed a reality as the Delhi Fire Services will induct two firefighting robots. It is to be noted that the Fire service week commenced from Wednesday, 14 April.
This year's theme is "Maintenance of Fire Safety Equipment Is Key To Mitigate Fire Hazards".
Swarajya quoted DFS chief Atul Garg as saying, "These robots will be remote-controlled. They'll be able to throw water at a distance at difficult spots”.
What the participation of these robots does is that they will increase efficiency and effective response. It is to be noted that equipment also includes cameras, drones, concrete cutters among other things.
It is to be noted again that the robotic firefighter system is being used in Mumbai and Kolkata, as per reports.
