Defence minister Rajnath Singh visits Sembawang Air Base in Singapore

Earlier, defence minister Rajnath Singh held bilateral talks, in Bangkok, with his New Zealand and Australian counterparts Ron Mark and Linda Reynolds respectively and reviewed New Delhi's defence cooperation with the two Pacific nations.

Singapore: Union defence minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday (November 19) visited the Sembawang Air Base during his two-day visit to Singapore.

Taking to Twitter, RMO said, "Raksha Mantri visiting Sembawang Air Base in Singapore."

In another tweet, RMO said, "Raksha Mantri Shri @rajnathsingh taking a familiarisation air sortie in Super Puma Helicopter of Republic of Singapore Air Force."

Sembawang Air Base is a military airbase of the Singapore Air Force and is located at Sembawang, in the northern part of Singapore.

Defence minister Rajnath Singh will attend the India-Singapore Defence Ministers' Dialogue. He would also call on the Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong.

Singh arrived in Singapore on Monday (November 18) night after concluding his Bangkok visit.

During his visit to Bangkok, Singh attended the ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting Plus (ADMM Plus) and the opening ceremony of Defence and Security 2019 Exhibition.

He also held several bilateral meetings with his counterparts from several countries including New Zealand's Ron Mark and Australia's Linda Reynolds.
