Abhinav Khare deep dives into the tenth chapter of the Bhagvad Geeta which tells us how Krishna is both the positive and the negative of this universe: he is the pain, the pleasure, the courage and the fear

Krishna tells Arjun that he is the supreme manifestation of God and all other Gods are actually manifestations of him. He is both the positive and the negative of this universe: he is the pain, the pleasure, the courage and the fear. A person who witnesses Krishna as the creator of all manifestations, is free from the cycle of birth and rebirth. According to Krishna, the highest source of worship is to enter into the state of divinity and recognise Krishna as the source of all beings. Arjun believes in Krishna. Arjun then enquires about other manifestations of Krishna so that it becomes easier for him to understand. Krishna then enlists all his manifestations to him: Self, Om, Himalayas, Vishnu, Shiv, etc.

The Saptarishi, the four Saints and fourteen Manus are all Krishna’s creation. It is from them that everyone on earth has been created.

Saptarishi is a constellation that has been discovered of late with the help of powerful telescopes. It is now called UrsaMajor. Geeta has often been called a mythology, but what people fail to understand is that even 3200 years ago, Krishna could accurately tell the positions of the stars. This is definitely not a myth.

Analysis

In this chapter, Arjun asks Krishna how could he feel God when he cannot see him. Krishna answers that God is everywhere: in nature, in beings, historic and Puranic… God is present everywhere in his many manifestations. We should always think of God through meditation and karma. Exaggerated or subtle, pure or impure, simple or complex: God is present everywhere and we cannot find a single place without the presence of God. He is for all of us equally, he is compassionate, knowledgeable, tender and skilful. He always has our back lest we fall.
