Abhinav Khare deep dives into the tweet by Aam Admi Party MLA Rajendra Pal Gautam, which sought to add to the Hinduphobia that left-leaning governments and parties have been trying to maintain

Hinduphobia is at its extreme in this country right now. Wherever we turn our heads, we only find hate and lies being peddled against Hindus, to make them feel guilty. Our culture and history is always disregarded and labelled as mythology. The latest one to join this bandwagon is Aam Admi Party MLA Rajendra Pal Gautam. He tweeted that if Ram and Krishna are our forefathers, then why aren’t they taught to us in history? The history of our forefathers are well documented, but that of Ram and Krishna are mythical. Whereas, Periyar’s point of view was established with proof. What is extremely funny is the Hashtag that followed. He used #BanEVM. All political parties resort to distorting Hinduism and its history and our curriculum has always been designed to disregard our own religion.

The previous left-leaning governments of India have always kept the history of Hinduism under the tag of mythology. The sole purpose of this move was to deny our future claims over anything. And to be honest, they have been quite successful in this regard. The entire ecosystem is not fabricated by a single MLA, it has the judiciary, academia and institutions in it as well. They have labelled our ancient history of Ram and Krishna as mythology and from Samrat Ashok onwards, our history is extremely distorted. It is only the history from Babur onwards that they retained beautifully. Mughals and British are their favourites. But, they forget about how much India flourished prior to that. India, in fact, had the highest GDP then. However, people seem to even label biriyani to be a dish by the Mughals whereas a dish with meat, rice and spices find mention even in Ramayana. Oh, by the way, rice did not grow in Mongolia back then.

However, when Rajendra Pal Gautam realized that this controversy has gone beyond his control, he automatically blamed that his account was hacked and that tweet was done by someone else. Does this incident ring a bell? Isn’t this similar to Arvind Kejriwal swearing by his kids that he won’t ever step into politics or be an ally of the Congress. These fraud politicians do not quiver even once before speaking against those who form the very foundation of India. Aam Aadmi Party has done it earlier as well. Their leader Prashant Kishore had called Krishna an eve teaser. So, it is evident what they feel about Hinduism and our culture. Now, it is for the voters of Delhi to decide.
