Abhinav Khare deep dives into the seventh chapter of Bhagvad Geeta to the different categories of worshippers and how Krishna is the supreme God of all
In this chapter, Krishna explains to Arjun how one can reach God by practising non-attachment. Krishna now explains to Arjun that the fundamental essence of the universe is God and that Krishna is just one of the earthly incarnations. People generally fail to understand Krishna’s power. They only understand what he has created. Others can see beyond the three gunas and see God beyond what he has created. The presence of God is eternal. Krishna divided the worshippers into four different categories: a person in distress, a person seeking power, a person seeking wisdom and the sage. A sage is a person who has achieved serenity through meditation and has a clear understanding of himself and God. People who have attained this know absolute freedom and the nature of action.

Krishna says that he is the taste of water, the radiance of the sun and the moon. He is the sacred syllable Om as is mentioned in the vedas. He is the sound in ether and the ability in human beings.
In this chapter, we see Krishna taking a turn towards devotion. He now focusses on how to understand God instead of the earlier mentioned paths to achieve understanding and liberation. Krishna goes on to say that he is indeed the essence of not just the universe but also of the entire material world. He is just incarnated in a physical body on this earth. Through this he tries to explain that Krishna is beyond what people can see or perceive. He is indeed something that people cannot see or experience, thus failing to understand his nature and now being misled. Krishna states that people usually worship him when they are worshipping other deities because he is indeed all the Gods. This can imply that Krishna is the Supreme God of all or Krishna and the other Gods are just manifestations of the each other which is also the Self.
