UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath has asked the Khadi department to prepare a triple layer mask through social help groups and khadi societies. The masks would be provided free of cost to the poor and weaker sections of society. The UP govt said that these masks would be of great use and can be worn again after wash.
Lucknow: In the wake of the growing coronavirus spread across the country, the Yogi Adityanath government has decided to promote khadi among people. The Uttar Pradesh government will carry forward and promote ‘swadeshi mantra’, amidst the coronavirus outbreak in the state. Yogi government will distribute triple-layer Khadi masks free of cost to the weaker sections of society.
The government has decided that these masks will be also be provided to common people at affordable rates. The chief minister of the state, Yogi Adityanath, announced on Saturday that the government will distribute 66 crore masks to the poor in the state as part of the efforts to stop the spread of coronavirus in Uttar Pradesh.
For this, the govt has asked the Khadi department to prepare a triple layer mask through social help groups and khadi societies. Meanwhile, chief minister Yogi Adityanath today also spoke to the former UP CM Mayawati and thanked her for her support to the government in the fight against coronavirus in the state. Today, BSP chief Mayawati has asked her MLAs and MPs to donate funds and join in the fight against coronavirus. The chief minister said, “We should keep away our political differences aside and come together to fight this pandemic”.
The fight of doctors and medics
The Yogi Adityanath government has clearly said that whoever misbehaves with medical staff and doctors will face an FIR being filed against them. He gave orders to all the district administration to take stringent action against those who violate law and order and stated that no one will be allowed to take law into their own hands. The number of coronavirus cases has been increasing for last week, many attendees of the Tablighi Jamaat have added to the number of cases
Yogi Adityanath seemed quite stern when he stated that no one will be allowed to take law into their hands. “Whoever attacks or misbehaves with medical staff, file an FIR against them,” the CM's blunt statement effectively implied.
